Carbon Fiber is the standard for lightweight and strong material.  Carbon fiber is made by drawing strands of organic polymers, molecules bound together by carbon atoms, and heating in the absence of oxygen such that non-carbon atoms are expelled, leaving a pure carbon strand.  The result is then treated such that it will mechanically bond with resins and woven into patterns depending on the application of the fiber/sheet.  The material is used in many high-end goods, from aerospace to luxury vehicles.

The pattern used in this ring is very finely detailed and finished such that it is as matte as possible.  It is a truly striking contrast with the metal.

The resulting ring is LIGHT AS A FEATHER.  Prepare to be surprised at how light and strong the ring is.

Bog Oak, also known as Mora/Morta is an exceedingly rare wood that is created by coincidence and nature over thousands of years in acidic peat bogs. After a tree falls into a bog with perfect conditions for preservation, it begins the process of fossilization. Complete fossilization would take millions of years, and this wood represents only the earliest stages. Because of its density and unique coloration, this wood is highly sought out by makers of smaller wood products, such as tobacco pipes. The first piece I used in this listing piece was carbon dated and found to be around 2,840 years old +/-50 years. This is the lighter colored wood. This wood gets darker the longer it sits in the bog.

The minimum width for this style is 5mm. The maximum is 8mm.

Recommended width is calculated in this way: Size 5 is 5mm wide. Width increases .5mm per size above that. So:

Size 9- 7mm
Size 10- 7.5mm

Every ring is custom made to order at the exact size provided.  Due to the special processes required to make this type of ring, they can be resized up by 1/4 size or down 1/2 size.  Any greater change in size would require an entirely new ring.  REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE. All rings ship via USPS Priority (or Priority International) Small Flat Rate Box. Insurance is mandatory for this ring, and included in the shipping charge. You pay what I pay for shipping, nothing more.
